Web Search in Chats

Some agents can search the web for current information to enhance their coaching.

When Web Search Activates

Web search is automatically triggered when:

  • You ask about a specific company

  • You need current market information

  • You're researching competitors

  • You want recent news or trends

Look for the 🌐 globe icon in the thinking indicator to know a search is happening.

Web-Enabled Agents

Not all agents have web search. Look for the Web Research badge on the agent card to see if web search is available for that agent.

Example Prompts

"What's the latest news about [Company Name]?"

"Research [Prospect Company] and tell me their recent funding, key executives, and potential pain points"

"What are the current trends in [industry] that I should mention in my pitch?"

"Find competitive intelligence on [Competitor] - pricing, positioning, recent changes"

Citations

When web search is used, you'll see:

  • Source URLs in the citations panel

  • Snippet previews of referenced content

  • Search timestamp so you know how recent the info is

Limitations

  • Web search adds a few seconds to response time

  • Some private company data may not be available

  • Always verify critical information independently

Admin Note

Company admins can enable/disable web search for their organization in Settings under the Team Settings section.
